I fell asleep on a pile of white fur by a fire,
my brain hurt when I woke, so
then I banged it against
a ceramic dish,
Bled, lit a cigarette, stumbled outside
into the twilight blowing smoke
out of my ears and eyes
It was morning time not night
but there were bright
stars in the sky
I fell to my knees (ripping my already-ripped jeans)
coughed and spat up blood, then I began telling
each and every star in the sky above how much
I am in love with you;
This took approximately 40 minutes, pretty
soon I was freezing seeing as I only had
on pants and a tank-top but I did not stop
until the very last star disappeared
into the sunny blue
I love you, I love you, I love you
There were birds chirping, my head was bleeding,
eventually I hopped to my feet, caught a bus
and left
Now, I will never be certain about this
however I could've sworn I heard
you laughing at me
Rather an echo of a laugh ricocheting
off a planet, then resounding
in the galaxy until landing
upon every insecurity
within me I
No longer try to hide
my brain hurt when I woke, so
then I banged it against
a ceramic dish,
Bled, lit a cigarette, stumbled outside

out of my ears and eyes
